This programme runs longer than 12 months, so fees are charged per year — year two is billed in the second year and apportioned according to how quickly the learner completes. Fees depend on learner numbers, funding route and delivery model, so we quote per client rather than publish a price.
What the learner will be able to do
- Acquire an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the core theories, methodologies and discourses of contemporary art.
- Develop appropriate research methodologies so as to enable them to conduct self-motivated, independent and original research.
- Display a proficient level of technical mastery over the tools, processes and software platforms used in accordance with best – practice standards of the contemporary art industry.
- Understand and apply ethical and professional judgement necessary to successfully conduct oneself as an independent practitioner in the field of contemporary art
Entry requirements
● National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an APS of at least 22.
● Matriculation exemption.
● English in matric (as first or second language), with a minimum result of 50%.
● The CTCA admits applicants based on their academic record, artistic inclination, and general aptitude towards design.
